1) Acceptance of Terms (Automatic Binding)
By accessing, browsing, reading, contributing to, or otherwise using EC’s websites, apps, feeds, newsletters, or services (“Services”), you automatically and irrevocably agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Policies & Transparency. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.
2) Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or higher under local law) to use the Services. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. EC may suspend accounts for policy violations.
3) User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
- No unlawful, defamatory, infringing, hateful, or deceptive content.
- No scraping, bulk downloading, reverse engineering, or disrupting Services.
- No impersonation or misrepresentation of affiliation.
- Respect others’ privacy and IP rights.
4) Contributor Rules & Ownership
Contributors must submit original, accurate, and lawful content and must disclose conflicts. All submitted materials (including articles, images, audio/video, and author profiles) are licensed/assigned to EC on a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable basis. Contributors waive moral rights to the maximum extent permitted by law.
5) Purchases, Subscriptions & Refunds
All purchases are final and non-refundable, including memberships, ads, promotions, and digital services. EC may change pricing/benefits with notice via the site or email.
6) Sponsored Content, Ads & Collaborations
Advertisers and partners agree to EC’s Sponsored Content & Advertising Policy. EC clearly labels paid content and retains full editorial control. EC may refuse or remove non-compliant material without refund.
7) Intellectual Property & License to EC
All EC content is protected by copyright and other IP laws. Except as permitted by fair use, you may not reproduce or distribute EC content without written permission. User/Contributor submissions grant EC the perpetual license described in Section 4.
8) Third-Party Links & Services
EC may reference third-party sites or services. EC is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Access at your own risk and review applicable terms.
9) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” EC disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. EC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
10) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EC, Masidas Enterprise LLC, and affiliates from claims and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, conduct, or breach of these Terms.
11) Privacy & Data Use
Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.).
12) Compliance, Governing Law & Arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. All disputes must be resolved exclusively in Dallas County, Texas, through binding individual arbitration under AAA Rules. Class actions and jury trials are waived. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
13) Changes to Terms
EC may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted here and, when feasible, communicated via email or banner notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
